Hello Beauties!
Last Saturday was my wash day. I love, love, love my natural hair but I’m sorry to say that I wasn’t looking forward to this wash day. It had been a busy week and I just came back from a long road trip, you can agree with me why I felt this way. Well, it had to be done.
Here's how my wash day routine went:
Finger Detangle & Section: I finger detangled my hair as best as I could and sectioned in 4.
Hot Oil Treatment & Pre-poo: I did the hot oil treatment using my DIY garlic in coconut oil mix, then pre-pooed. This time I decided to do an overnight pre-poo and the result was indeed better. My hair was softer and more manageable.
| So, my plastic cap doesn't fit my hair anymore (yippee! to hair growth) had to switch to a plastic bag. |
Shampoo: Next I shampooed with the ORS creamy aloe shampoo, working my way through each section. Then I rinsed out.
Rinse Out Condition: This was done with gentelle hair fruits coconut conditioner, then I gently combed through each section and rinsed out.
Deep Condition: So the mixtress in me came out and I tried a DIY conditioner using coconut oil, avocado, honey, and banana. After that, I put on a plastic cap for an hour and rinsed out.
Drying Hair: I dried with an old cotton shirt. Gently patting hair to dry it.
Moisturise and Seal: I used the leave-in conditioner, oil, and cream (LOC) method. I applied the Dr. Miracle's leave-in conditioner, coconut oil, and Shea butter respectively so I can seal in moisture.
Styling hair: I did two strand twist using the beautiful textures curl definer mousse.
The next morning, I unraveled the twist and styled.
