Jumbo Faux Locs
It all started out with some experimenting...
Hypothesis? - Using Brazilian wool for jumbo box/triangular braids gives at least, a fairly tucked in protective style.😏Brazilian wool |
Also, I was anticipating having my braids in triangular parts, as a friend of mine was learning how to do the triangular part, so I offered my hair as a tribute.

I really don’t know why, but I did feel like using Brazilian wool might blend in my hair texture(maybe it’s because I haven’t tried using it before?) more than the regular kanekalon braiding hair extension.
Yep! It didn’t turn out the way I imagined! The Brazilian wool had my hair sticking out, as it was still in jumbo size.
Do I have to take down the braids just because it was looking like an experiment gone wrong?
- Nah!
- Nah!
Here comes the solution: Wrapping up the jumbo braids. And voila! - Jumbo faux locs!
Now, this is an experiment gone right. 🤓
Since I started out with jumbo braids, 8 packs of Brazilian wool was used and 3½ packs for wrapping it all in.

Here’s how I achieved this look, the only difference is the size of the braids(they need to be jumbo sized) and of course, the triangular parts.
Am still out here looking for a way to achieve jumbo box/triangular braids with my hair fairly tucked in at the least.
Please, do let me know in the comment section if you have an idea on how to achieve this or like me, you’re on the lookout for how to achieve this too.
Ehmmmmm.......... Guess I have forgotten. 😀
