Diy Deep Conditioner
Sometimes you just have to let the mixtress in you come alive! My last wash day I decided to try out a DIY deep conditioner for moisture.
Ingredients used:
- ½ medium sized avocado
- 1 finger of banana
- 3 tbsp of coconut oil
- 2 tbsp of honey
Initially, I came across a DIY deep conditioner and the ingredients used were: banana, glycerin, honey and olive oil. I had all these ingredients except glycerin, so I tried out a remix. I added avocado just because, it was looking overly ripe and staring at me, begging to be added. I also used coconut oil instead of olive oil.
PROCEDURE
- Peel and dice the avocado into a blender.
- Add banana.
- Add coconut oil.
- Add honey.
- Blend until smooth. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.
- Apply to hair.
- Put on plastic hair for an hour.
- Rinse out.
RESULT
My hair was moisturized and I could feel the coconut oil doing its work. I was almost tempted to twist my hair without putting leave-in conditioner and oiling it first.
Have you tried any DIY recipes? Please do tell.
