Length Check

This is one, really, overdue post.

The last time I did a length check was more than a year ago. At long last! I did one at some point last month.
For a while now, I've been a wee bit skeptical to do a length check and it's mainly because I don't want to face the disappointment of my hair not growing as it should.

I haven’t had as much growth compared to my last length check(oh, then I had above 3 inches of growth within 5 months) as a result of being stressed and much breakage(that’s a gist for another post) but I slightly got above 2 inches of hair progress. 😁

Oh, and I’ve tweaked my regimen a bit:
  • I skip the use of rinse out conditioners after shampooing, it makes my wash day shorter and having a well detangled pre-pooed hair just makes this step easier to skip.
  •  Sealing my hair with coconut oil mixed with shea butter to make a better sealant and give more shine.
  • Trimming more frequently than twice a year now.

Also, you can check out my current hair products.

Don't forget to build a regimen and use products that works best for your hair!

LENGTH CHECK
Hello!
So guess who remembered she has a length check tee shirt?
Yep! This fro rocker right here!

Really, most times I do forget. I made this tee on one of my insomniac nights last year and this will be the second time I’ll be using it since february 2016.
The first length check was done almost 10 months post big chop and the second 5 months later. This makes my hair approximately a year and 3 months old since big chop.

Averagely our hair grows about ½ inch monthly. So mine seems to be doing just fine. I mean, I knew it was growing but didn’t realise it was this much. In the last 5 months I have more than 3 inches of growth.
Hurray to hair growth!!!

No hair growth pills, just plain sticking to my regimen and giving this fro some TLC.
This is really reassuring, looks like I’m on the right track on this healthy hair journey.

Until next length check (probably by the end of the year).

Oh and don’t forget to build a regimen that works for your hair and stick to it.

Xx
